GATES Timing Belts from €299 upwards

The cambelt is one of the hardest working components in an engine. The cam belt is a rubber-toothed belt that drives major parts of the engine and keeps everything synchronised. The rubber compound deteriorates with time; it should be replaced in good time to avoid serious engine damage. Changing it prevents snaps, cracks and tears which, in turn, minimises the risk of major engine damage.

It is recommended that your cambelt is replaced every 4 years or 60,000kms, or at the recommended mileage interval listed in vehicle service book (varies by engine type), whichever comes first, to ensure optimum safety and performance.

During a cam belt change we strip down the relevant components of the engine and renew the belt and cam belt tensioner. If we identify that your car also requires a water pump, we will replace both cambelt and water pump for a reduced package price. Then we reassemble the engine and road-test your vehicle before recording it in your service book.
